New Study: Saratoga Hillsides Not Ready for More Development
The City's own May 2026 evacuation study finds it already takes up to 5 hours to fully evacuate Saratoga's hillside neighborhoods in a wildfire — before adding a single new unit. Add Masson Estates and the other pending Builder's Remedy subdivisions on constrained corridors like Pierce Road, and resident evacuation times get worse, not better.
Council hears the Masson Estates appeal on August 19, 2026 — show up or write in and ask them to uphold the Planning Commission's denial, protect emergency access, and put public safety first in our hillsides.
